Guild General Meetings

The Guild arranges four meetings each year to inform the members of the Guild’s business and
activities. They are traditionally scheduled for the third Saturday of September, November, February, and April. These are the Annual Meeting and the General Meetings.

Guild activities and business are usually covered in the morning. Subgroup reports are often
presented because they are a large part of the Guild’s activities. Guild business, including the president’s comments, treasurer’s report, scholarships activity, and Guild events are reviewed for the members. Member questions and concerns are welcomed.

The Guild’s DVD library, Guild apparel, and books and magazines coordinator are almost always at the meetings.

The General Meetings are not limited to just the Guild’s business. The meetings also include featured demonstrations and presentations, talks, and social time.

Meeting locations can be chosen for capacity, shop or workbench requirements, classroom setup, or for the featured presenter. Most of the time, locations are at no cost to the Guild. Efforts are made to move the meeting locations around the state. Website
resources have been setup for the members to facilitate sharing rides. Anyone can host a meeting. Meeting location suggestions are always welcomed.

This forum is intended to get members feedback and suggestions for topics, speakers, locations, and Guild activities. Your comments are always welcomed.
