Natural Edge Goblet

Andy's demonstration at the symposium will focus on the safe and efficient use of basic spindle turning tools to produce a natural edged goblet. Techniques to be discussed will include end grain hollowing and, the "old turner's trick", the Captured Ring.

He has demonstrated at all five of the New England Turning Symposia, as well as the similar even by the Adirondack Woodturners Association. In addition, he has demonstrated and participated in educational programs for these groups as well as Canterbury Shaker Village and the Eastern Massachusetts Guild of Woodworkers. He is founder and owner of Butternut Tools, a tool business catering to woodturners and students.
