One Tool Wonder

Using an Ellsworth-grind bowl gouge, Graham will be demonstrating multiple tasks in its use. By focusing on 14 simple cuts he will cover everything from thin-walled natural edge bowls to turned spindles. Remarkably, all aspects of turning will be covered using this one tool.

Graham is Jack Grube's star student at Pinkerton Academy, where he is a senior. He started turning only 1 1/2 years ago. He tries to focus on simplicity in his work: simple shapes, made with homemade tools, using hand harvested wood. Turning has become a fascination for Graham and has provided a foundation on which he plans to build the rest of his life.
