Jacques Vesery
Damariscotta, Maine
Concepts in Design
This in-depth slide lecture compares design components before and after turning, including form, balance, and proportions. Through a presentation of several artists' works, in some cases in retrospect, Jacques will show how variations and growth help a body of work evolve. This is a great learning tool for anyone, working in any medium. It is also an ever changing presentation as new artists' work is added to the mix each year.
Jacques Vesery is an Artisan from Damariscotta, Maine, creating wood art pieces. Striving to evoke the spirit of nature in his work, Jacques is greatly influenced by the source of his medium, the living tree and the divine proportion. He has taught in France, England, Canada and 20 US states. Jacques' work is in many permanent collections including the Detroit Institute of Art and the Contemporary Art Museum of Honolulu.
