March 7, 2020 Meeting
The Boatbuilding Subgroup was once again drawn to the Maine woods to the shop of Bill Thomas Woodworking. Bill is an accomplished designer and builder of boats plus a fine teacher. He started with showing us how select and interpret boat plans.
Next we got to inspect one of his own designs, the Fox canoe, and turned over a stitch and glue shellback he was working on. The shellback will be the subject of his next class at WoodenBoat School this summer. This was the second time Bill hosted a meeting for the subgroup. He is always interesting and entertaining. Many thanks to Bill.
