Meet Marcel's Miniatures at Manchester Memorial
Mmmm: Memorial High School on Memorial Day Weekend! With Marcel!
Internationally recognized wood turning super star Marcel Durette will be demonstrating miniature finials, knobs, openers, holdings and any way to keep a lidded something together at the upcoming Granite State Woodturners meeting on May 25th at Manchester Memorial High School.
Not just for barbecues, Memorial Day weekend will showcase the three new lathes and a SawStop table saw that the Guild of NH Woodworkers has donated to Manchester Memorial High School. Wood Shop Instructor Dave Lambert welcomes all of us in to his newly renovated wood shop, complete with an exhibit of partially finished student projects. Some terrific projects underway!
The meeting runs from 9 am to 12 noon, there will be coffee and donuts available. Please consider bringing some hardwood to donate to the program as kids mostly work in pine.
From Rt 93, to Rt 293, take the South Willow street exit and head towards Manchester. At the third light, turn right on Westin Rd, in between the Dunkin Donuts and Mobil Station. Stay right at the next light, then turn left on South Porter, the high school will be on your left. Proceed up the hill and turn left into the last parking lot. Walk back to the Dust collector and in the shop door.
Hope that all of you can get out of Honey-Do chores for the morning and come see the second demo on thin spindle turning.
