Turned Coat Rack—Mahogany and walnut. The idea for this design came from an illustration of a torchère in Wallace Nutting’s Furniture Treasury, published in 1928. Beside the elegant turning, the most noteworthy design elements are the teardrop shape of the feet and the rosette embellishments on them. The rosettes are concentric to the circular outline of the teardrop.
