The Journal
The first print issue of our woodworking magazine The Journal was published in February, 2009. Created as an out-growth of our original newsletter, The Old Saw, The Journal embodies the Guild’s mission of encouraging and teaching the craft of woodworking through members sharing their special skills and talents. The Journal contains in-depth articles, Q&As, technique how-tos, and inspiring stories and photos that will appeal to woodworkers at any level–from novice to master.
Recognized as one of the finest woodworking magazines of its kind, The Journal was described by Tom McKenna, Editorial Director of Fine Woodworking Magazine as “an apprenticeship in print” and said that “the content is so good that you can’t just glance through it. You need to sit and digest it all.”
