Dan Faia has been a professional wood carver, cabinet maker and chair maker since 1994. He is a graduate of North Bennet Street School (NBSS) in Boston, and operates his own woodworking studio in New Hampshire. In addition, he is the department head of the full-time cabinet and furniture making program at NBSS. Dan is also a frequent contributor to Fine Woodworking magazine. Through the years, he has participated in lectures, demonstrations, and symposiums for organizations such as Museum of Fine Arts-Boston, Colonial Williamsburg, Strawbery Banke Museum, Guild of NH Woodworkers and The Furniture Society. Samples and video demonstrations of Dan’s wood carving are currently on display at the Museum of Fine Arts-Boston in the Art of the Americas wing.
