The Guild’s Woodworking Fundamentals Group will return to live meetings on Saturday October 2nd in a new location. Meetings will be at Bob LaCivita’s shop at his property in Northwood.

Guild YouTube Video Channel
The Guild now has a presence on YouTube. Our channel is a place where we plan to collect edited short form videos to share with the membership and to promote our organization to the wider woodworking community.

Woodworking Fundamentals Shop Fixtures and Jigs February
Twenty plus members were present on Sat February 1st for Woodworking Fundamentals when Bob demonstrated two methods for the production of push sticks. Push sticks are a basic and critical satety feature in any shop. Both methods require a pattern made of quarter inch laminate and the rough stock (3/4 inch scrap is useful).
Woodworking Fundamentals Bench Planes
Bob LaCivita hosted the first meeting of this seasons Woodworking Fundamentals sub group in his shop at The Mills at Salmon Falls on Saturday October 5th. The main topic was bench planes.
Annual Meeting—2019
We had an outstanding Annual Meeting on Saturday, Sept 21, 2019.
The auction was back and was a big hit with over 100 registrations (bid cards) and pulling in a record $2,600+. John Siegel returned as the auctioneer. You can see a short video here. And thanks to all who worked to make this a success.

NH Woodworkers Guild Donates Equipment to Nute High School
MILTON — Dave Foote, president of the Guild of New Hampshire Woodworkers, and Dr. Annamarie Pennucci, also from the Guild, recently delivered a donation of equipment worth approximately $5,500 to the Nute Middle High School Woodworking Program.
This donation included three Rikon VSR mini-lathes, turning tools, a sharpening system, and miscellaneous safety equipment.
Grant Program Supports Three NH Schools
The big grins from eight grade Ava Lambert as she finishes her first project and soon-to-be pizza cutter on the Rikon lathe donated by the Guild of New Hampshire Woodworkers.
The Guild has supplied complete machinery grants to three southern New Hampshire schools, while supporting tool grants to four others.
MHS Woodshop Recipient of Guild of New Hampshire Woodworkers Grant
The Merrimack High School Woodshop is a proud recipient of a Guild of New
Hampshire Woodworkers’ grant to expand STEM curriculum using the latest technology
in hollow form turning. The grant will be used to purchase a tool stabilizing device that
attaches to a woodworking lathe enabling students to make advanced, distinctive hollow
Student Woodturning Competition a Stunning Success!
Holy WOW! Sixty (60!) students enjoyed a terrific woodturning day-out-of-school, complete with contemporary and traditional woodworking demonstrations, a farm tour and lots and lots of prizes!
NEAWT Spring Meeting at Pinkerton Academy
The New England Association of Wood Shop Teachers met on May 11 at the combined wood shops of Pinkerton Academy. Nineteen NEAWT members got a quick peek at a free educational program called EdPuzzle and the terrific usefulness it has already had in Dudley Murcheonson's program.
