David Lamb Named NH Artist Laureate

NEW HAMPSHIRE FURNITURE MASTER DAVID LAMB
NAMED N.H. ARTIST LAUREATE

MANCHESTER, NH – New Hampshire Furniture Master David Lamb, a furniture maker from Canterbury, NH, has been named N.H. Artist Laureate. He will serve in this honorary position through March 2012. Lamb was nominated for the position by Governor John Lynch and was confirmed by the Executive Council.

November 21 Guild Meeting

November Guild Meeting

The GNHW’s second guild wide meeting of the year will be on November 21st, and hosted by Scott Ruesswick at his shop in Canterbury. The first hour is for getting settled, checking DVDs in and out, buying shirts and caps, greeting friends, and getting coffee and donuts.

The September meeting of the Guild of New Hampshire Woodworkers is always a special meeting. It is the Guild’s Annual Meeting, this year held at The Breed School in Rollinsford, NH. At the annual meeting, new officers are confirmed, and the Guild’s accounts are reviewed for the members.

Barn Raising and more

Sat. July 18, Homestead School, Newmarket. There will be a barn raising and open house on Sat. July 18th from 10 am -3pm. A timberframe will be raised from 10-12, followed by a cookout, demos and vendors from 12-3 pm. Also, belt sander races, two man cross-cut saw competitions, class discounts for sign-ups, door prizes and more!
